Our Cause

The World Conker Championships has a key motive that isn't always widely known. The main aim of the event since it began has been to raise money for charities that support the visually impaired. So far since 1965 we have raised £420,000 for charity, further information on the origins of the event can be found in our history.

What we've Achieved

Through the years our donations have been used in a multitude of ways, this includes:

  • Talking Books for the Blind
  • Talking Newspapers
  • Training Guide Dogs
  • Providing Visual Interpreters
  • Providing Specialist Equipment
  • Who we Donate to

Over the years we have donated to a large variety of charities, some of which are:

  • RNIB
  • Hunts Society for the Blind
  • Northants Association for the Blind
  • Guide Dogs for the Blind
  • Peterborough Talking Newspaper
  • This is only a fraction of all the causes we have supported. Listing them all would take its own website! Since our relocation to Southwick we have also made a contribution to the village hall and church to show our gratitude for their support.
