When Val Eve from Market Deeping brought a ticket in the 2004 World Conker Championship raffle, little did she guess that she would win the Star Prize of a Hot Air Balloon Ride for Two.  She was delighted with this, but when she was told that the balloon ride would take place in South Africa, she got really excited!

So, in March this year, Val and her husband flew to South Africa for their 8 day trip of a lifetime.  They stayed in a 5-Star nature reserve hotel near Johannesburg with accommodation in lodges amongst the animals.  The itinerary for the rest of their stay was as follows:

Day 2	Balloon trip over the safari park early in the morning. This was followed by a champagne breakfast
Day 3	A guided safari round the nature reserve seeing zebras, monkeys and a whole host of other animals
Day 4	A guided tour of Soweto and surrounding area
Day 5	Free Day
Day 6 & 7	Stayed in an Elephant sanctuary with rides etc

They were thrilled and overwhelmed by the whole experience and could not believe that they had experienced all of this for the price of a single World Conker Championship raffle ticket.

Whilst we cannot guarantee the same this year, Bailey’s Balloons are hoping to make the 2005 ‘Balloon Trip’ Prize a really special experience too.
