It was an all England triumph at the 2007 World Conker Championships! Ady Hurrell from Peterborough has been crowned the men's World Conker Champion at the World Conker Championships with Tina Stone from Glapthorn, taking the ladies’ title. Tina takes the title for the second time, her first win was in 1994.

Reigning Junior champion Philip Broomhead from Shropshire delighted the crowd and his parents by retaining his title, the first time a Junior player has won two successive titles. In the Intermediate category, local lad Nicolas Rothera from Oundle won through after being runner-up in the same category last year. The Young Adult title went to Steven Wray from Milton Keynes.

Almost 500 people from a record 20 different countries took part in the 43rd event, watched by approximately 4800 spectators while over 1000 conkers were smashed!
